Gina Carano has some fight left in her yet. The mixed martial artist-turned-actress said on Thursdays edition of The Arsenio Hall Show that she is "actually kind of considering" a comeback to the octagon and will be meeting with UFC president Dana White next week to discuss her future. "Its something I can do that makes everything else disappear. I dream about it. I just didnt know if I was ever going to get placed with the opportunity to make a comeback," she said. "So Im either going to do it now or retire and say, Im never going to do it. So now is the moment." Carano (7-1) has never fought in the UFC, despite her contract being absorbed when the organizations parent company, Zuffa LLC, purchased Strikeforce in 2011. Her first and only loss of her career came in her last fight - against another potential UFC signee, Cris Cyborg - back in August 2009. Should Carano and White come to some sort of an agreement, the former face of womens MMA would enter into the Ronda Rousey sweepstakes in the quest to dethrone the undefeated womens bantamweight champion. Rousey, who most recently scored her first TKO victory in a win against fellow former Olympian Sara McMann, is awaiting the announcement of her next opponent. The water, however, isnt so clear. Carano would be near the top of that list along with Cyborg if she was willing to fight at 135 pounds. Also, division stalwarts Cat Zingano, who is the No. 1 title contender but remains out with a knee injury, and Alexis Davis, currently riding a five-fight win streak, are very much a part of the conversation. Even former 18-time boxing world champion and undefeated mixed martial artist Holly Holm could find her way into a title shot if she can work out a deal with the UFC. Carano isnt looking that far ahead. All she knows is that shes not necessarily ready to hang up the gloves. "Theres not a workout that I go through that Im not fighting somebody in my mind," she said, "and its never gone away." Trevor Rosenthal Jersey .S. military base for UFC: Fight for the Troops 3. This fight card, which takes place in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, has had a number of changes, including headliner Lyoto Machida replaced by fellow Brazilian Rafael Natal. Yadier Molina Jersey . He never mentioned anything about his hitting. The 33-year-old right-hander had success with both Sunday, pitching six solid innings and helping the offence-starved Mets with an RBI single as New York salvaged a doubleheader split with a 4-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. The New Jersey Devils added a veteran scoring winger who has trouble staying healthy, but is coming off a terrific season. Numbers Game looks at the Devils signing Mike Cammalleri. The Devils Get: LW Mike Cammalleri. Cammalleri, 32, has been a productive goal-scorer, topping 20 goals six times in his career, but hes also had a hard time staying healthy, missing at least 15 games in four of the past five seasons. However, if a team understands that injuries are likely to be part of the package, they can also understand that a healthy Cammalleri has not only has he been able to score, but last season he was really effective as an all-around player, putting up strong relative possession numbers despite facing high-quality opposition and starting more of his shifts in the defensive zone. Those relative possession stats were dramatically better than previous seasons, so that doesnt necessarily mean thats his standard level, but its some evidence that Cammalleri is more than just a triggerman. Hes joining a Devils team that already puts up strong possession numbers, but has been unable to finish enough. For whatever it might be worth, Cammalleri is also 7-for-20 (35.0%) in shootouts over the past five years, and while thats a little above average, its miles ahead of what the Devils mustered as a team last year, when they were 4-for-51 (7.8%) in losing all 13 shootout decisions. While Cammalleri plays frequently on tthe wing, hes also played centre -- took the second-most draws on the Flames in 2012-2013 -- and that could be useful for the Devils, who are going to have to mix and match some pieces up front, but have enough to put together three pretty solid lines.dddddddddddd Adding a goal-scorer certainly addresses the Devils needs. They ranked 27th in the league with 2.40 goals per game last season, so adding a proven finisher is worthwhile. The trouble, as it often seems to be with the Devils, is that the term is steep for a 32-year-old. Maybe five years and $25-million is the going rate for what Cammalleri provides, but its hard to envision the Devils getting a positive return on investment when Cammalleri is 35 and 36-years-old. Sure, New Jersey has been getting great production from Jaromir Jagr and Patrik Elias, who are well beyond that age but, among 32 forwards who were at least 35-years-old last season, five managed to score more than 20 goals. The Flames will miss Cammalleri. They added Mason Raymond as a free agent, and Raymonds speed is an asset, but hes not the same kind of offensive threat that Cammalleri is, so its hard to expect that the Flames will thrive offensively without their third-leading scorer from last season.
